Andrew and Amy’s Wedding

When you take 1829 pictures at a wedding you are bound to get a few good ones.  Over this past weekend, two of my good friends, Andrew and Amy, were married here in Myrtle Beach at Pine Lakes Country Club.  It was a sweet southern style wedding complete with shrimp and grits.  It was such a treat for me to be able to capture their day for them.  Andrew and Amy being quite the photographers themselves, I knew they would be happy to let me capture their day from a friend’s perspective.  They had already hired the very talented Brent and Amanda Holloman from Millie Holloman Photography.  When Jon and I were married 3 years ago we also used MHP (Millie and Rachel photographed our wedding) and it was nice to meet two others from the MHP crew.  Thanks Brent and Amanda for letting me stay on the sidelines during the wedding festivities to get in more experience with Niko.   I had so many photos that I liked it was hard to narrow it down, but here are a few I would like to share with you…

When you have a bride this pretty how can you get a bad picture?

The bridal suite overlooked the entrance to the country club. Amy and her girls were having lots of fun watching all the guests arrive. spying on guests coming in

One very sentimental part of the wedding was in memory of Amy’s dad.  He was a farmer of cotton, which all of the men wore as boutineer and Amy’s bouquet was filled with poofs of cotton. Such a sweet touch. cottonflower girls

Amy’s brother Matt walked her down the isle.  Such a sweet moment and honor for her brother as he later expressed in his toast. walking down the isle Wedding partyrose petalsbride and groom legsbride and groomthe kissbride and groom

I believe I heard Amy ask “do I really hit it or just act like I am going to?” This caused for true reactions of “NOOO” from the wedding party.wedding party golf

Andrew and Amy’s first dance was very sweet. Thanks Andrew for letting me borrow your fancy flash and for giving me a quick crash course on how to use it…. I think I did okay. first dance

    Hi Meg,

I LOVE your blog! And the website looks amazing. I’m headed off to the beach to try to get a walk in before the temperature approaches ‘sizzle’.

    XO Lisa
